What is HeadQuarter?
HeadQuarter is a recent project I had the pleasure of working on, designing a brand from the ground up. This concept merges timeless elements with current trends to create a sustainable and practical brand. Some designs creatively incorporate typical office items, such as ID cards inspiring clothing tags, while others, like the poster designs, draw inspiration from magazine covers to bring a sense of youth and allure. My goal was to infuse a sense of inclusion and adaptiveness, which is evident in the logo. Corporate culture is often stereotyped as rigid, but this brand aims to showcase creativity and inclusion, reflecting my core values.
What's my process?
This was a project completed over the course of a semester with aid from some student mentors in the Berkeley Design Innovation Program.
My design process began with creating a moodboard and stylescapes to establish the visual direction and overall aesthetic. This helped me explore different color palettes, typography, and imagery to ensure a cohesive brand identity. From there, I drafted initial logo concepts, experimenting with various shapes and styles to capture the essence of the brand. Once the logo is refined, I move on to designing business cards and other brand assets, ensuring everything aligns with the overall vision and communicates the brand's message effectively.

What'd I Learn?
Initially, the complete creative freedom of this project was daunting. However, throughout the process, I learned that it was okay to fail or dislike my initial ideas. With persistence and many iterations, I created a brand I am proud of. Introducing HeadQuarter, an office wear brand that aims to break the mold of traditional and dull office attire, targeting Gen-Z individuals entering the workforce who want to express their personality through their wardrobe.
